ELINOR FLYNN, Ph.D.

Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School. My research interests lie at the intersection of social inequality, diversity initiatives, and employee decision-making. In one line of work, I seek to understand how people make sense of social inequality and react to diversity initiatives designed to reduce inequality, including identifying unintended consequences of diversity initiatives. In another line of work, I investigate how employees’ career choices are shaped by the interplay between personal preferences and organizational practices or incentives. Within this stream, I am especially interested in the implications of decision-making at work for gender inequality and employee well-being. My work has been published in top outlets including the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology.

Prior to joining the faculty at LBS, I was a post-doctoral scholar at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my Ph.D. in organizational behavior from NYU-Stern’s Department of Management and Organizations.
